COLLECTIONS

Commissioned Projects

Life is a precious collection of moments. Put together, they tell a story. I’d be honored to hear yours.

Gather treasures—reminders of those you love—and allow me to create an intimate vignette and
make a fine art photograph for you. A story to share and cherish for years.

Lydia — My great-grandmother's sewing machine; a tribute to her memory and to her daughter, my grandmother, and to my seamstress mother, her daughter. I created this for my mom, her sister, and her sister's daughter upon the death of my grandmother. This piece reminds me of my maternal lineage of beautiful strength as portrayed by Lydia in Scripture, a seller of purple cloth.
Her Story: Family — My neighbor's story blends deep, prejudicial hardship with hope. This was originally created for an exhibition entitled, The Art of Being Southern, and is one of three.
Her Story: Fruit of Their Labor — My neighbor's story blends deep, prejudicial hardship with hope. I listen when she tells me to believe. This piece was originally created for an exhibition entitled, The Art of Being Southern and is one of three.
Her Story: Crowns — My neighbor's story blends deep, prejudicial hardship with hope. I always sense within her a beautiful dignity. This piece was originally created for an exhibition entitled, The Art of Being Southern, and is one of three.
